Save the Date: 2024 IOE Global Young Professionals' Academy

The 6th edition of IOE’s Global Young Professionals’ Academy is set to take place in Istanbul, Türkiye from 30 September – 4 October.

Employers from within IOE’s membership are invited to save the date for the upcoming IOE Global Young Professionals’ Academy, which will take place in-person in Istanbul, Türkiye from 30 September - 4 October 2024. 

The 2024 Global Young Professionals’ Academy, led by the International Organisation of Employers, will be hosted by the Turkish Confederation of Employer Associations (TISK), with the support and generous co-funding of the European Union.  

This competitive training programme is targeted at building the capacity and skills of 25 highly qualified young professionals selected from across IOE’s network. The in-person session in Istanbul will be preceded by a 2-week online distance preparation module using a specialised digital platform created by the International Training Centre of the International Labour Organization (ITCILO).  

Successful professionals will: 

• Acquire tools – to implement and adapt policies at local, national, regional, and international level. 

• Gain advocacy skills – to engage more effectively with governments and stakeholders. 

• Receive guidance – to achieve greater policy impact. 

• Continue to be inspired – by the work of the global alumni network and advance their careers. 

Criteria to attend the programme:  

• Participants must be working at an organisation within IOE’s membership.  

• Participants must be under 35 years old at the time of application.  

• Participants must be proficient in English.  

• Participants must have at least 2 years of professional experience.  

The Academy is aimed at success:  

After completing the Academy’s training, professionals will join a global network and will be able to represent their organisations at national, regional and international conferences. Since 2016, 126 young professionals from 48 different countries have enrolled in the Global Young Professionals’ Academy. Among those who have taken part in the programme, 90% have remained at their organisation and 70% have been promoted internally.
