IOE Joins EU Meeting with SOCIEUX+

IOE took part in a key meeting on peer-to-peer cooperation in social protection, labour and employment with social partners and SOCIEUX+.

On 18 September 2024, IOE met with EU partners and ITUC representatives to review how social partners can be encouraged to submit requests for in-country technical support on employment and social protection.

The SOCIEUX+ Technical Assistance Facility aims to expand and improve access to better employment opportunities and inclusive social protection systems in partner countries. Its specific objective is to enhance the capacities of partner countries to better design, manage and monitor inclusive, effective, and sustainable employment strategies and social protection systems through short-term, peer-to-peer technical assistance and knowledge development.

IOE members are encouraged to use the SOCIEUX+ facility to request in-country assistance, including requests for capacity building, to highlight that employers are also actively engaged in employment and social protection strategies.

IOE Members from Europe are particularly encouraged to suggest their expertise in the area of employment and social protection to ensure accurate employer representation in the SOCIEUX facility.

You may find the list of actions implemented in the 160 partner countries: List of countries - SOCIEUX+ expertise on social protection, labour and employment
