IOE and Deloitte Release AI Readiness Report

IOE and Deloitte publish a comprehensive analysis of AI readiness within G20 countries.

The International Organisation of Employers (IOE) and Deloitte have released a significant AI Readiness analysis Report, emphasising the importance of collaboration between social and economic actors to harness AI’s benefits and address its challenges.

According to the report, AI's impact on the labour market and society is dual-faceted. While AI can significantly boost productivity and efficiency, it also brings challenges that need to be anticipated, such as job displacement and social disparities.

The report evaluates AI’s influence on various labour market factors: productivity, job displacement, inequality, human-AI collaboration, and the evolving demand for skills. It also assesses how well-positioned G20 countries are to leverage AI opportunities.

Included in the report are profiles of corporate adoption strategies, showcasing how businesses are integrating AI into their operations, overcoming challenges, and maximising benefits.

IOE calls on G20 leaders to prioritise AI readiness through strategies focused on upskilling the workforce and establishing collaborative frameworks between businesses and governments. The report underscores the need for effective policy measures to navigate the AI-driven future.

This report sets the stage for crucial discussions at the G20 Labour Ministerial, highlighting the need for coordinated global efforts to navigate AI's challenges and opportunities.
