IOE is pleased to be launching this network in your region on 21 October and bring together the creative power of member communicators.

We would like to invite the President/CEO and the lead communications officer from your organisation to the regional launch of the IOE Communicators Network on 21 October from 14:00 - 15:30 (CET).

Our goal is to create a dynamic and vibrant network of communication experts and managers among business organisation, share experiences and knowledge, and develop skills. In short, we want to bring together the people who ensure our collective voice is heard across the digital, broadcast and print media landscape.

On the agenda of the first workshop is an introduction to the communicators network from IOE Secretary-General Roberto Suárez Santos followed by a discussion on the latest IOE video project together with a skills workshop on how to tell video stories using your mobile phone (see updated Agenda in the Resources Section).

IOE has produced a video highlighting the silent heroes from the small and medium business world. Our purpose is to show the human side of running a business across the globe and to help change the narrative on the importance of having a sustainable and friendly business environment. We tell individual stories of employers and learn what drives them, how they overcome obstacles, navigate the highs and lows of owning a business and the personal sacrifices they make on the road to success.

We will create the IOE Story Hub on our website to host the business heroes’ stories we have collected to date and upload new ones that you produce. We would like to support and collaborate with you to spotlight the 50 million companies that are the backbone of our network, build a sense of belonging between employer organisations, and promote the most innovative digital content produced by the IOE global network.

Following the Communicators launch event, IOE communications will organise quarterly workshops on cross-promotion opportunities, guidance on social media platforms – which one is most relevant to your organisation, follow-up on storytelling, campaigns, media relations and other topics that the members of the network would like to investigate further.

By bringing together the collective power of business communicators, we believe we can transform public understanding of the rewards and challenges facing today’s enterprises as well as share best practices to strengthen our institutional capacities.
