La OIE los invita a una sesión informativa sobre el tercer proyecto revisado de tratado sobre empresas y derechos humanos el lunes, 11 de octubre (en inglés).

Dear Madam and Sir,

Human Rights are a key concern for the IOE and its member federations, which represent more than 50 million companies around the world. The IOE has undertaken strong efforts in raising awareness and building capacity on the UN Guiding Principles on Business and Human Rights and on responsible business conduct. We are deeply committed to work on the eradication of forced and child labour and to promote the Fundamental Principles and Rights at Work as well as the UN Human Rights Conventions. The IOE has very much collaborated in the development of a roadmap for the better implementation of the UN Guiding Principles by the UN Working Group on Business and Human Rights and is engaging with stakeholders in the better uptake of the UN Guiding Principles.

From the very beginning, the IOE has engaged in the work of the Open-ended intergovernmental working group on transnational corporations and other business enterprises with respect to human rights, which will meet for its seventh session on 25 to 29 October 2021. We would like to discuss with you the third revised draft treaty, and the upcoming session of the intergovernmental working group in a digital meeting on Monday, 11 October at 11:00 – 12:00 CET.
